ICBC started planning this updated accreditation program in 2018. It requires more rigorous training and equipment requirements for auto body shops that specialize in Collision Repair services. In early 2020, after a couple of years of testing and planning, they introduced the ICBC Collision Repair Network.
Following an initial period of assessment and monitoring, the first-year rankings for the Network were released in May 2021. In order to qualify as a Tier 1 Top Performer, a company must have scored in the top 25% in their region.
